 Important Information:

Set-up:

Main Street Hartsville places artists and performers in participating businesses and contacts artists ( how long ) before the Art & Wine Stroll with their placements.

Artists and performers must contact their assigned businesses before the event to determine a set-up date/time and ways to display artwork. Participants are solely responsible for their set-up, including transporting work and display materials. Only hang artwork on walls with proper approval.

Performers must provide their stands, speakers, and any other necessary materials & equipment.

Take-Down:

Artists are responsible for taking down and transporting their work. Artists must contact their assigned business to determine take-down dates/times. Work must remain displayed during the event and removed when agreed upon with the business. Some businesses welcome artist displays after the event, so check with the owner or manager if you would like to showcase your art at your host business after the Art & Wine Stroll.

Attendance:

Artists and performers must be at their assigned business during the event. If you need to cancel your participation, please do so at least 3 days before the event. Failure to promptly notify Main Street Hartsville or Black Creek Arts Council of cancellation will affect your participation in future events.

Sale of Artwork:

Artists are encouraged to sell their artwork and are responsible for all aspects of selling, including providing contact and pricing information, contacting interested buyers, collecting payments, providing change, collecting and reporting taxes, and delivering artwork.

Performers may sell music recordings as long as sales activity does not interfere with the performance. (We suggest you bring a friend to handle sales.)

To sell your artwork, you must contact the state of South Carolina to obtain a Tax ID Number if you do not have one.

Liability:

The City of Hartsville, Black Creek Arts Council, and the participating businesses are not responsible for any damage to or theft of artwork, display materials, or other personal property. They are not responsible for damage to or theft of materials loaned by businesses to artists/performers.
