The purpose of this six week series will be to teach students how to do each posture in the Level One sequence correctly. Students will learn how to come into correct alignment using energetic extensions and press points. Amrit Yoga emphasizes breath and conscious awareness in maintaining focus and concentration.  Amrit Yoga is a slow and meditative style of yoga.

This series will be suitable for beginners and those wishing to learn the Amrit Yoga method.

The fundamentals include:

1.  Concentrating on correct form using energetic extensions and press points

2.  The importance of breath in working with boundaries and maintaining focus

3.  Being deliberate but not forceful; total, but not necessarily perfect

4.  Dropping comparison and competition

5.  Introduce the principle of prana

6.  Inward focus: starting to get in touch with body sensation
