Learning the Basics of Zentangles with Gayle Torres
Zentangle Art is an easy to learn method of creating beautiful images using paper and ink in repetitive patterns. These patterns are called “tangles.” These tangles are formed using lines, dots, and geometric shapes. Creating Zentangles has a meditative quality and is relaxing. It has also been linked to increased focus, creativity and stress reduction. No previous art experience is necessary.
In the class you will learn at least 10 basic patterns used in Zentangles.
All materials will be provided including a Micron pen and extra paper tiles to take home.

I am a board-certified art therapist working in clinical and wellness settings including the Chapman Cancer Wellness Center. I am most interested in encouraging creative actions and building resilience through art-making.
