Beginning Clay/Pottery for Kids with Frankie J. Mixon
A 4-week series for 5 to 12-year-old students. Students will explore creative and functional clay methods (hand-building), including pinch pots, coil building, and/or slab building. Within these methods, an infinite number of possibilities are available!
WHEN:
Mondays from 4:00-5:00pm
Session 1: February 2, 9, 16, & 23
Session 2: March 2, 92 16, & 23
Session 3: April 6, 13, 20, & 27
Session 4: May 4, 11, 18, & 25
COST:
$55 each session (included all material)
About the Teacher:
Frankie J. Mixon is an SC Arts Commission visual arts fellow; Artist (specializing in pottery, clay sculptures, and mixed media); Classroom art teacher with a BA in art, two MA degrees in Elementary Education, and Reading with an emphasis in Elementary Education. Teaching philosophy: The study of art is an excellent way to promote creativity, self-esteem, and self-expression. EVERY CHILD IS SPECIAL.
