In this 2- class series, we will explore the technique of pointillism. We will paint with acrylics on a 6x6 canvas board. If you prefer not to draw the flower freehand, a traceable will be provided. While painting the flower, we will go over the rule of thirds. We will also go over consistency of paint, tools, how to hold your tools, how pressure affects the dots, top dots and “walking the dots”.

ABOUT THE TEACHER:

I am a self taught artist. I have used a variety of mediums in many different art forms. My favorite is acrylic painting and drawing with an emphasis on pointillism. I incorporate the technique in most of my work.

I have a BA in Psychology from Coker College (now Coker University) and a MSW from the University of South Carolina. The universe had different plans and I have worked in the nuclear and accounting industries. In my free time, I am spending time with my husband and 2 cats while creating art.
