WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:

Beyond Our Patterns: Freedom to Choose with Susie Bloodworth

What if some of what we think of as “just who I am” is actually a pattern we’ve practiced and perfected? In this experiential workshop, we'll explore how modern neuroscience aligns with the ancient wisdom of yoga philosophy to explain how patterns that no longer serve us take shape and keep repeating. Through a little learning, reflection, conversation, and exploratory, playful movement, we’ll bring curiosity and compassion to the ways we cling, resist, protect, and get stuck in our familiar grooves. Rather than trying to become a “new you,” we’ll create a little space around those patterns and discover where we might have more freedom to choose.

MULTIFACETED: Entering the Diamond with Jamie Martell

What if becoming more fully yourself means embracing every facet of who you are? In this opening workshop, we’ll explore the identities, experiences, strengths, and contradictions that make us multifaceted. Through embodied practice and reflection, we’ll begin to see ourselves with fresh eyes, honoring the complexity of who we are and discovering what’s ready to be polished, reclaimed, or released.

Qigong Flows to Harmonize our Kaleidoscopic Energy Vibrations with Diane Wiggins

Qigong practitioners believe the Human Body is a Mirror of the Universe. As enlightened, multifaceted Humans living in a dualistic world of constant flux, we are always striving for balance, always striving to raise our energy vibration to the highest Frequency (unconditional Love), ultimately working toward Unity with the Universe.  This specific Qigong practice will cleanse and nourish our multidimensional organ system through healing sounds, invoking 6 directions of Energy, moving Qi invoking and imitating  various animal spirits. This practice employs elements both profound and playful.

Sunday Morning Revival: An Ecstatic Cacao Ceremony with Jamie Martell

Every diamond catches the light differently. In this heart centered morning of cacao, movement, and music, we’ll make space for the many facets of ourselves to come alive. Through an intentional cacao ceremony and ecstatic movement, we’ll explore what it means to feel fully present, reconnect with our inner spark, and move into the new year with greater freedom, curiosity, and connection to ourselves and one another.

The Many Selves: Honoring Every Version of You with June Avant

We are not one fixed identity. We are daughters and dreamers, professionals and artists, caregivers and seekers. We carry younger versions of ourselves alongside the people we are still becoming.

This practice invites students to honor the many selves they have been, the selves they are now, and the selves quietly waiting to emerge. Through slow flow, meditation, and reflection, we'll explore what it means to live from a place of greater integration and self-compassion.

Unlocking Your Creative Spirit with Casey Gainey

We are all created to create, yet many of us lose touch with this part of ourselves. Through meditation, reflection, and hands-on exploration, we’ll gently uncover the stories and limiting beliefs that keep us from embracing our creativity. Together, we’ll reconnect with our creative spirit and discover the many ways creativity can bring greater joy, wholeness, and intention to our lives.

TEACHER BIOS:

JUNE AVANT

June Avant believes in the healing power of movement. As a lifelong overthinker, she has found yoga to be a practice that brings her out of her head and back into her body. For nearly 20 years, yoga has been an anchor in her life, helping her cultivate presence, resilience, and a deeper connection to herself.

After completing her 200-hour yoga teacher training at Our Sacred Space School of Yoga in 2017, June has shared yoga through Yin and Slow Flow classes, workshops, and special events. She is passionate about making yoga approachable and accessible, helping students discover that the practice extends far beyond the poses and into everyday life.

June's classes are compassionate, welcoming, and infused with humor, creating space for students to challenge themselves without taking themselves too seriously. She believes yoga helps us find our center amidst the busyness of life and continues to lean into its lessons off the mat as a way of staying grounded in her own full life. Known for thoughtfully curated playlists, she creates an atmosphere that supports the intention and energy of each practice.

Whether you're stepping onto the mat for the first time or returning to a familiar practice, June invites you to explore movement with curiosity, presence, and joy.

SUSIE BLOODWORTH

Susie Bloodworth (CYT) teaches what she seeks: greater freedom through self-awareness, self-compassion, and connection to self, spirit, and others. A lifelong student of what makes us human, she is especially drawn to the patterns, stories, and protective strategies that quietly shape our lives. Since becoming a certified yoga teacher in 2018, Susie has led classes and workshops that blend yoga philosophy, nervous system awareness, reflection, conversation, and embodied movement. She believes meaningful self-discovery and recovery ask us to dig deep, but not to take ourselves too seriously along the way. Her approach invites curiosity over judgment, compassion over perfection, and plenty of room for humor, play, connection, and the wonderfully messy experience of being human.

CASEY GAINEY

Casey Gainey is an artist, educator, and creative guide who loves helping others reconnect with their creativity. She believes creativity is for everyone and enjoys creating welcoming spaces where people can explore, make, and grow. Through art, mindfulness, and hands-on workshops, Casey encourages others to embrace curiosity and the joy of creating.

JAMIE MARTELL

Jamie believes in the magick of yoga as a tool for shifting perception—within oneself, in relationships, and across communities. Enchanted by yoga’s ability to evolve as a practice, lifestyle, and spiritual path, she brings over 20 years of experience and more than 5,000 teaching hours to her students. An experienced, certified yoga teacher at the 500-hour level, Jamie completed her 200-hour training through Authentic Yoga Teacher Training (Ashtanga-based) and her 300-hour certification through The Kaivalya Yoga Method, a lineage rooted in alchemy, psychology, mythology, and ritual.

Her classes are more than movement—they are portals for transformation. Blending breath-centered vinyasa with elements of shamanic practice, depth psychology, and mythic storytelling, Jamie invites students to explore their inner landscapes as courageously as their physical ones. She holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology and is an Ordained Minister, which allows her to approach teaching with soulful presence, emotional intelligence, and spiritual reverence.

Jamie is the owner of Our Sacred Space Yoga in Hartsville, SC, founder of Liminal Travel, Art Education Director at Black Creek Arts, and creator of Malas by Jamie. Across all her endeavors, she weaves intention, creativity, and sacred awareness—offering experiences that help people reconnect with themselves and the mystery of life

DIANE WIGGINS

During the mid-1990s, while a Ph.D. student of English Literature, Diane Wiggins found herself in her first yoga class—she instantly fell in love. Her stressed-out nervous system and over-taxed brain found release. The tension in her body, wrecked from hours of study, melted away. As she began to practice Yoga regularly, she felt re-energized and balanced. And thus, Diane’s Yoga quest began. Everywhere she went, she sought out teachers: in person, through books and eventually on the internet. After many years with thousands of hours of personal practice and some teaching, Diane officially certified as a Yoga teacher.  During her continuing journey toward healing, she has pursued many specialty trainings, especially focusing on Yin Yoga as well as Gentle Somatic Yoga.  Her insatiable quest led Diane to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). She delved deeper into Yin Yoga that fused TCM principles. During this time, she discovered the gift of Qigong. Subsequently, she studied through the YoQi Qigong Flow School, recently finishing their certification program. Qigong, another healing art, especially targets the energy body. She credits this practice for transforming her life, strengthening her vitality and allowing her to live with abundant presence. And she grateful and delighted to share these practices with students. She says, “It is part of my purpose and gives me so much joy to inspire others into accessing self-healing abilities, to finding their natural rhythms and developing an inner peace through guided (and spontaneous) movement and meditation. Together we nurture and protect our vitality as we grow into radiant beings.”
