Black Creek Watercolor Artists:
A Shared Journey in Watercolor
Artist Reception Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 5:30 – 7:00 PM
Join us for the opening reception of Black Creek Watercolor Artists, an exhibition celebrating a group of regional artists united by their shared passion for watercolor and realistic painting.
For nearly fifteen years, many members of this group have gathered at Black Creek Arts Council to paint, learn, and grow together as artists. What began for several members as a journey into watercolor has evolved into a supportive creative community dedicated to developing skills, sharing techniques, and encouraging artistic growth.
Meeting twice each month at Black Creek Arts, the group continues to paint, critique, and inspire one another while welcoming new members who have a basic understanding of the Principles of Art.
This exhibit features original works by:
Frankie Bush
Sue Brand
Timi Bronson
Pam Cartee
Gaye Ham
Mary Houser
Judy Jacobs
MJ Martin
Lynda Szablewski
Mary Thomas
Together, their paintings showcase a variety of subjects and perspectives while reflecting a shared commitment to realism and the expressive possibilities of watercolor.
Guests are invited to meet the artists, explore the exhibition, and learn more about the creative process behind the work. Light refreshments will be served.
This reception is free and open to the public.
Come celebrate the talent, dedication, and artistic friendships that have flourished through watercolor at Black Creek Arts Council.
