Wes Made This: Where Am I?

Artist Reception
Thursday, August 6, 2026 | 5:30 – 7:00 PM

Black Creek Arts Council is pleased to present Where Am I?, a solo exhibition by Charleston artist Wesley Shaver (WesMadeThis).

Inspired by the visual language of street art, graffiti, and urban culture, Where Am I? explores questions of identity, uncertainty, and self-discovery in a world that constantly asks us to define who we are. Through bold color, layered textures, spray paint, acrylic, collage, and graphic line work, Wesley creates works that exist somewhere between chaos and clarity.

The exhibition transforms the gallery into an immersive environment that echoes the walls, alleys, and public spaces that inspire his work. Roughly twenty pieces will be displayed without traditional frames, reflecting the spirit and accessibility of street art while inviting viewers into a more direct relationship with the artwork.

At its core, Where Am I? is a visual journal—an honest exploration of finding your place, trusting your instincts, and embracing uncertainty. Each piece serves as both a personal reflection and an open invitation for viewers to consider their own journey of identity and belonging.

Join us for an evening with the artist and experience a collection that is vibrant, thought-provoking, and unapologetically authentic.
